Looking for Fresh Ideas to Recruit New People to Library Careers?

Come to the ALA Library Career Recruitment Forum on January 14, 2005, at the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Boston!

Everyone is talking about recruitment. How will the library profession replace the retiring leadership and welcome the next generation? The Forum will provide a day of sharing, new ideas, practical information, and enthusiasm. The goal of the Forum is to build on best practices and inspire new library career recruitment initiatives.

You are invited to participate in the Forum in three ways:

Host a talk table! If your organization has a specific recruitment initiative to feature in a small group setting, or if you would like to facilitate a small group discussion on a specific recruitment topic please contact Connie Paul, Executive Director, Central New Jersey Regional Library Cooperative, by telephone at (732) 409-6484 or via e-mail at connie@cjrlc.org by October 15, 2004.
Contribute samples! Sample recruitment materials such as program brochures, websites, flyers, etc. are requested for display tables. Organizations may also request space for travel displays and videos.
