Standing Committee on the Salaries and Status of Library Workers

During the 2002-2003 ALA Presidency of Maurice J. (Mitch) Freedman, the foundation of the committee was laid. He formed a Special Presidential Task Force on Better Salaries & Pay Equity, which worked hard to develop the Advocating for Better Salaries and Pay Equity Toolkit and deliver strong recommendations for ALA-APA.
